The Problem

Consumers want an address book that is easy to build and access from either land
or mobile phones and want to talk and move information over whichever network is
most convenient at that time and is able to deliver the highest quality at the lowest
cost. Unfortunately, there is little or no interoperability between fixed and mobile
networks and the functionality of fixed has atrophied while mobile has surged. The
result is that landline subscribers are decreasing and fixed networks are
underutilized. In addition, most functionality is being placed on more expensive
mobile handsets (nodes) when some would be more powerful and efficient on
network servers.
Our Solution

Our Broadphone server is a platform that acts as a gateway to consumers and how
they communicate. Our solutions move power to the provider’s network and make
the two networks (fixed and mobile) work as one and are easy to implement as they
leverage and repurpose many existing network functions. They can be marketed to
a huge audience since they satisfy consumer needs without requiring them to buy
hardware or change behavior.

*         Call forwarding solutions unfortunately ring on landlines even when the subscriber is not there. Fast Forward from AT&T (Cingular) requires a
       cradle at each location
**       Similar to direct-to-consumer GrandCentral.com but Telco provided.
***      With Broadphone, subscribers can register an unlimited number of frequently visited locations such as home, work, weekend home, etc.
